This was in the Chinese Garden in downtown Portland. I had never seen a lotus flower before-- only the dried seed pods. It is one of the most beautiful and unique flowers I have ever seen. They grow like water lilies but the flowers stand p tall above the surface of the water.
This is where the magic happens. Only it's not magic-- it's skill and hard work.
This is my bench, cleaned up a bit for a photo, but messy nonetheless. Things usually are dustier and less organized. An awful lot of the bench surface is showing here-- much more than usual. Everything always has its place-- even if I am the only one who knows where that place is.
